Ziegels Community Outreach Missions

Ziegels Union Church congregations, Lutheran and UCC, work together to support our congregational members and community needs.  Currently, there are three on-going missions held on a monthly basis: Sewing Mission, Quilting Mission, and Prayer Shawl Mission.

 

During the year, the congregations hold various donation drives to support our local community.   On a monthly basis, donations are collected for the Lowhill Food Pantry and Blessings Shop. Once a year a drive is held for school supplies and Christmas gifts and stockings for children served by the Lowhill Food Pantry, Various donation drives have supported local causes: YWCA Perfect Fit, Valley Youth House, Family Promise, and Lehigh County of Churches.  The Congregations support special events to support our wider community.  The September Harvest Fall Festival supports Lowhill Food Pantry with fresh produce.  To honor current servicemen, donations are collected for Military Boxes in celebration of the Day of Deployment in October. In celebration of Wreaths Across America, monetary donations support the placement of wreaths on the graves of over 300 service people buried at Ziegels Church Cemetery.
